Andy offers over 40 years’ car driving experience across the UK and abroad in a wide range of motoring environments. He has been trained by the police to Advanced standard as a car driver as well as a motorcyclist. He is a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM).

Andy has been teaching driving for eight years and has concentrated on taking students through the test at the Folkestone Test Centre. He believes that: ‘’Passing the driving test is the primary objective but producing a driver who is confident and able to react in a defensive way to anything that might happen is my ultimate aim. Driving with active risk awareness reduces the chances of the new road user having an accident. The newly qualified driver is likely to get the blame when incidents do occur but it is often the case that the problem lies with the other driver or the pedestrian who has done something unusual or even unnecessary. My aim is to give the learner more than just the skills to pass the driving test.”
